Japanese media reported today, Wednesday, that at least 350 flights have been canceled in Japan as a result of the impact of Typhoon “Khanon”, which is sweeping east of the southern island of Kyushu.

The wind speed in the hurricane area exceeded levels of 30 to 40 meters per second, according to the Japanese “NHK” channel.

It is noteworthy that this typhoon lasted for more than a week in southern Japan, causing heavy rains in the Japanese islands of Okinawa and Kyushu Island.

In addition, the typhoon cut power to about 15,000 homes in Kagoshima Prefecture and 2.6,000 homes in Miyazaki Prefecture due to fallen wires, and two people were confirmed dead as a result of this typhoon.
