Manama, Ambassador Dr. Yusuf Abdulkarim Bucheeri, the Director-General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights at the Foreign Affairs Ministry met with David Fernandez Puyana, the Permanent Observer of the University for Peace to the United Nations (UN) Office at Geneva and UNESCO in Paris.
Dr. Bucheeri affirmed that Bahrain continues work on its diplomatic initiatives for peace, international cooperation, and common understanding, driven by its historic and humanitarian values and its belief in the interconnectedness between peace, human rights, and sustainable development.
Dr. Bucheeri commended the UN University for Peace’s role in promoting understanding, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, aligning with the objectives outlined in the UN Charter.
The two sides discussed cooperation, exchanged ideas and proposals in various fields, particularly public international law and international human rights law, and discussed topics related to multilateral diplomacy.
