A young man shot his father inside his home in Al-Zubair district, west of Basra.
A security source stated: The young man fired about five shots from a rifle at his 55-year-old father, seriously injuring him, after a quarrel broke out between them in Al-Zubair district, and the father was transferred to the hospital to receive treatment, while the young man fled.
He added: The security services attended and opened an investigation into the incident, and are continuing to pursue the accused.
