Acting SPA President Reviews Training Progress at Riyadh Academy

Riyadh: Acting President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Hassan Al-Asmari reviewed the progress of training activities in the graduate empowerment program for media careers (April 2026 cohort) at the SPA News Academy. Al-Asmari, who also serves as Chairman of the academy’s Board of Trustees, engaged with trainees during a visit to the academy’s specialized programs building located in the Al-Rayyan district.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program is supported by the Human Resources Development Fund and aims to qualify and empower national talent for specialized media professions. This is achieved through a combination of theoretical and practical training tracks designed to equip trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge.

The first cohort of the program includes more than 300 trainees who have been enrolled across eight specialized media diplomas. These participants were selected from a pool of over 10,000 applicants from across the Kingdom. The initiative is part of the academy’s broader efforts to contribute to media transformation by investing in human capital development.
