The Advisor to the Prime Minister for Security Affairs, Khaled Al-Yaqoubi, affirmed: “The Iraqi leaders, in their negotiations, focus on preserving Iraq’s sovereignty.”

Al-Yaqoubi said in a televised statement: “Iraq obtained all its requests in the Washington negotiations,” noting that the agreement stipulates that drones fly in security areas with the approval of the Iraqi government exclusively.

He made it clear that no party to the negotiations can act unilaterally.

Al-Yaqoubi continued: “There are no paragraphs or secret meetings in the negotiations with Washington, and we agreed to form a military committee between the two parties to confront the threat of ISIS.”

He stressed that there is no mobilization of the American forces, but rather a replacement for them on the Syrian side. / End
