Riyadh– The Saudi Football Federation is set to hold Al-Bait Al-Saudi (Saudi Home) zone on the sidelines of the 33rd meeting of the general assembly of the Asian Football Confederation scheduled for the Bahraini capital of Manama tomorrow and after tomorrow, it was reported here on Monday.
Al-Bait Al-Saudi zone is designed to introduce the Saudi national culture and playgrounds referred to in the Saudi bid file for Asia cup 2027.
The Asian Football Confederation is expected to announce, during a meeting on the first of February in Manama, the winner to host the event.
Saudi Arabia is bidding to host the 19th version of Asian championship under the emblem Together for Asia Future whereas Al-Bait Al-Saudi was designed to introduce the stadiums, national culture and heritage to its visitors, topped by heads and senior officials of international sports federations, Asian federation members, media representatives, and influential characters in the sports field. Saudi hospitality will be displayed in the form of traditional coffee, dates and food, organizers said, adding that Saudi sports history will also be exhibited under the roof of the house, citing that Saudi Arabia’s national team has participated ten times in Asia cup, winning three titles and came second three times. It has also took part six times in the world cup, stunning the football community at the last version in Qatar when it beat the world champion Argentina.
Al-Bait Al-Saudi made its debut in Doha last month, coinciding with the world cup 2022 and receiving, during the month-long event, more than 400000 visitors who enjoyed the taste of the Saudi sports, culture and arts across ten pavilions and more than 21 events.
