Al-darb: The beach at the tourist Al-Shuqaiq Center in Al-Darb Governorate saw increased visitor turnout during the weekend, attracting locals and visitors from outside the region amid the current mild weather.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Shuqaiq beach stands out as one of the top winter tourist destinations in Jazan Region, offering residents and visitors from nearby mountainous areas the chance to enjoy its waters, suitable for swimming and fishing, as well as picnics, beach games, and camping along the shore.

The beach offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy the stunning Red Sea sunset, providing excellent photo opportunities, in addition to hosting numerous events and tourist programs along the approximately 20-kilometer coastline.

Development and improvement works have enhanced the quality of the beach while preserving its natural features, making it a destination that offers visitors a balance between scenic beauty and fresh sea air. Its facilities include family areas, walking paths, open-activity zones, and equipment rental services, enriching the tourist experience and reinforcing its role as a comprehensive tourist destination.

Municipal, developmental, and investment projects currently implemented by the Jazan Municipality, through Al-Shuqaiq Municipality, contribute to diversifying and enhancing the tourism offering. These include dedicated family areas on the beach, public parks, seating areas with green spaces, playgrounds for all ages, benches, kiosks, restaurants, and caf©s, alongside ongoing efforts to maintain and clean the beach and public facilities.

Enhanced monitoring of commercial establishments aims to improve compliance and service quality for residents and visitors, creating added value for the local economy, opening new investment opportunities, boosting tourism activity, and contributing to the region's GDP growth.

These projects form a key pillar in strengthening the tourism sector and developing coastal destinations, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to promote coastal tourism and transform it into an economic driver that enhances quality of life.
