He welcomed the desire of the Council of Syriac Catholic Bishops in the world to convene for the first time in Iraq at its session this year, stressing that the diversity of the Iraqi people and its transformation into a source of strength and cultural openness that enhances the cohesion of the people of this country.

For his part, His Beatitude the Patriarch expressed his appreciation for the positions and directions of the Prime Minister, stressing that the recent sedition attempts by disrespecting religions and attacking the heavenly Books represent nothing but misguided people, and the international community must curb these abusive voices that sow enmity and hatred.

He also praised Al-Sudani’s interest in all components of the Iraqi people, especially the youth.
