Arab Parliament Speaker Condemns Knesset Bill on Palestinian Revenues

Madinah: Arab Parliament Speaker Mohamed Al-Yamahi condemned the Israeli Knesset's approval of a bill allowing broader seizure of Palestinian clearance revenues, stating the move violates international law and signed agreements. He remarked that this reflects Israel's ongoing use of collective punishment against the Palestinian people.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Yamahi emphasized that the continued withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues directly violates the economic rights of the Palestinian people. He described it as a deliberate attempt to weaken the Palestinian National Authority and undermine its ability to fulfill its basic obligations.

Al-Yamahi called on the international community, including the United Nations Security Council and regional and international parliaments, to take urgent action. He urged these bodies to pressure the occupation authorities to immediately and unconditionally release Palestinian clearance revenues. Furthermore, he advocated for efforts to hold them accountable for repeated violations of international law and international legitimacy resolutions and called for the suspension of the Knesset's participation in international parliamentary forums.
