Aseer’s Unexpected Summer: Umbrellas Outshine Sunglasses

General

Abha, As August unfolds in Aseer, a surprising trend has emerged: the region is experiencing a surge in sales of umbrellas. They are not the average sunshades, though; with the region drenched in unexpected rainfall, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts are flocking to markets for umbrellas to shield themselves from the refreshing downpours.

Aseer’s transformation into a temperate haven has captivated locals and visitors alike. Temperatures have plummeted to between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius in many parts of the region, a stark contrast to the typical summer heat. The National Center for Meteorology and the General Directorate of Civil Defense forecast more rain in the coming days.

To witness the region’s natural beauty in full bloom, hundreds of families have ventured into Aseer’s parks and gardens. Stunning waterfalls cascading down the Sarawat Mountains have become a major draw.

This atypical weather has proved to be a boon for local businesses. In addition to umbrellas, sales of camping gear and outdoor equi
pment have seen a significant uptick. As Aseer positions itself as a global tourism hotspot, this unexpected summer helps show the region’s diverse appeal.
