Buraidah Carnival Logistics System Drives Saudi Date Trade Globally

Buraidah: The logistics services ecosystem at the Buraidah International Dates Carnival supports trade activity and expands the reach of Saudi dates to local, regional, and international markets through integrated transportation, shipping, packaging, and distribution solutions that enhance supply chain efficiency and preserve product quality throughout transit.

According to Saudi Press Agency, shipping operations begin in the early hours alongside market activity, as specialized companies receive prepared quantities, package them, and transport them using equipped vehicles as part of a continuous logistics operation.

Secretary of the Higher Committee and CEO of the Buraidah International Dates Carnival Dr. Khaled Al-Naqidan said the logistics services ecosystem receives the support of the governor of Qassim Region and his deputy, emphasizing that integrated supply chains are an important component in supporting the dates trade. He noted that transportation and shipping services cover all 13 regions of Saudi Arabia and over 100 cities and governorates.

He explained that transportation services extend overland to the GCC countries, while air freight provides access to more than 70 countries. He also highlighted the variety of shipping solutions, including standard, express, refrigerated, and frozen services, with operations exceeding 600 shipments per day.

The growing logistics activity accompanies expanding trade and provides seasonal opportunities for young people to participate in loading, preparation, and coordination operations, contributing to faster workflows and greater operational efficiency.
