Capital Governorate outlines its efforts to serve citizens

Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa pledged to continue efforts to meet the needs of the citizens through close communication and regular field visits to all areas, as part of its mission to promote better life, development, and sustainability.

He pointed out that the Capital Governorate has allocated 20 channels to, directly and indirectly reach out to citizens, which would add more flexibility and speed and diversify the communication.

Head of the Inquiries and Complaints Unit, Salman Al-Shaikh, indicated that in the first half of this year, 607 complaints, requests and proposals were received through various communication channels, of which 55% were socially related, 36% were service-related, and 9% were security matters.

The Capital Governorate has won the Excellence award in communicating with customers four times after it achieved excellence in performance in the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul). It also won the prestigious “International Stevie Award” for the customer service category at its seventeenth session, the governorate had a 100% rating in terms of speed and efficiency towards citizen response during the years 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021
