A security source revealed the approval of the higher security authorities to conduct a security assessment for the villages of a liberated district, northeast of Baquba, Diyala Governorate Center.
The source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that conducting the first security assessment of the villages of Shanshal on the outskirts of Qara Tappa district, northeast of Baquba, will be implemented in preparation for the return of the displaced families to them after security stability in the region.
He added that the security assessment represents an important stage within an approved road map to return the displaced families to the liberated villages in order to seize the land and prevent its exploitation as guesthouses for terrorist cells and end the suffering of the displaced families.
It is noteworthy that the local government has prepared a road map to return the displaced families to the villages south of Buhriz district, south of Baquba.
