Dhahran’s Marjan Beach: A Tourist Destination Combining Beauty and Entertainment

Dhahran: With the onset of moderate weather, Marjan Beach at Half Moon Bay in Dhahran has witnessed a remarkable influx of citizens and residents, drawn by its scenic landscape and vibrant marine atmosphere. The beach has become one of Eastern Region's most prominent tourist and leisure destinations, offering a blend of natural beauty and modern recreational facilities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Mayor of Dhahran Eng. Faisal Al-Qahtani noted that Marjan Beach spans an area of over 108,000 square meters, offering extensive amenities and public services. It features 13,298 square meters of walking tracks, 757 square meters of connecting pathways, as well as service facilities, investment sites, and a central plaza covering 2,866 square meters. Visitors can also enjoy more than 10,000 square meters of green spaces, enhanced by the planting of over 210 trees, creating a refreshing natural setting.

The beach also features an architecturally designed mosque that reflects the identity of the Eastern Coast, parking facilities for 330 vehicles, and a range of sports and entertainment areas. These include a football field of 1,366 square meters, a volleyball court of 493 square meters, athletic zones spanning 350 square meters, and a designated children's play area covering 225 square meters.

Eng. Al-Qahtani emphasized that the Eastern Region Municipality is committed to developing sustainable recreational environments that meet the expectations of residents and visitors, while bolstering the region's reputation as a leading marine tourism destination.
