Riyadh: The Eastern Region branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA), represented by the Fisheries Department, launched today a comprehensive field inspection campaign aimed at enhancing compliance with marine fishing systems and regulations. According to Saudi Press Agency, Director General of the Eastern Region branch of MEWA, Eng. Fahd Al-Hamzi, stated that the campaign targets 12 fishing harbors along the Saudi coast on the Arabian Gulf. He noted that inspection teams have conducted field visits to monitor fishermen's compliance with approved regulations and marine fishing-related activities.
