Erdogan begins a visit to Saudi Arabia

Baghdad / NINA / – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived Thursday evening in Jeddah on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Erdogan said in a press conference held in Istanbul before heading to Saudi Arabia that his visit is “an indication of our common will to start a new phase of cooperation as two brotherly countries.”

Erdogan added: “During my visit, we will review the Turkish-Saudi relations in all their dimensions.

The Anatolia News Agency reported earlier that the Turkish President will visit Saudi Arabia, today, Thursday, at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The Agency indicated that the talks between the leaders of Turkey and Saudi Arabia will discuss the level of relations between the two countries and the possibility of developing cooperation between them.

A statement issued by the Turkish Presidency Communication Department stated that Erdogan will hold talks within the framework of his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

The statement added that the two sides will review, during the talks, all aspects of bilateral relations and will discuss opportunities for developing cooperation, in addition to exchanging views on some regional and international issues.
