Riyadh: The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) took part in the Middle East Coffee Conference (MECO) through a panel discussion that highlighted the center's role in supporting the sustainability and productivity of the coffee sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Estidamah showcased its work advancing the scientific basis of coffee cultivation through its specialized research unit in Jazan, which conducts greenhouse trials, field studies, and seedling development. This effort has resulted in the distribution of about 5,000 seedlings to support coffee farms.
It further underscored its strategic partnerships with the Saudi Coffee Company, the FAO, and private-sector partners, which facilitate knowledge transfer and the application of modern, sustainable practices.
