Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) Dr. Mansour Al-Shammari received Special Envoy for the Middle East at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, Ambassador Johan Verkammen, in Riyadh today. The meeting focused on discussions of mutual interest and explored avenues for enhanced cooperation in the fight against extremist ideology.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Belgian delegation was briefed on the comprehensive efforts undertaken by Etidal in the digital, ideological, and media spheres to combat extremist ideology. The briefing included a review of the center's various initiatives and its international partnerships aimed at promoting moderation, coexistence, and countering extremist ideologies.
