Extensive Services Assist Pilgrims at Miqat Dhul Hulaifah

Madinah: The Miqat Dhul Hulaifah Mosque in Madinah is witnessing daily a large influx of pilgrims during Hajj, who converge here before heading to Makkah to perform the Hajj rituals.

Miqat Dhul Hulaifah, one of the most prominent historical sites in Madinah, is some 14 kilometers away from the Prophet’s Mosque.

The Saudi Press Agency was at the location to witness how relevant authorities serve pilgrims by providing guidance and awareness services, and carts for people with disabilities and the elderly, monitoring the supply of water and food, and maintaining the cleanliness of the place, how security services ensure a smooth flow of traffic around the mosque and the roads leading to it, and how the bus parking lot is organized.

The Miqat Dhul Hulaifah Mosque receives attention and care from the wise leadership amid the growing number of Umrah performers and pilgrims.

The mosque’s area has been expanded to 6,000 square meters to accommodate 5,000 worshippers. The mosque’s floors and courtyards have been u
pgraded using natural stone from Madinah, waterproofing works were carried out, and the air conditioning system has been updated and its operational efficiency improved. Also, the parking spaces in the western courtyards have been expanded to accommodate more than 400 additional buses.
