First Quarter of Rabi’ Al-Awwal’s Moon Lights Up Kingdom’s Sky

Riyadh: Yesterday at 6:00 PM, the first quarter moon of Rabi' Al-Awwal illuminated the Kingdom's skies, marking Rabi' Al-Awwal 7, 1447 AH, which corresponds to August 30.

According to Saudi Press Agency, President of the Space and Astronomy Club and member of the Arab Union for Space Sciences and Astronomy Zahi Al-Khulaiwi stated that the right half of the moon appeared illuminated to observers. He noted that the quarter moon presents an excellent opportunity to observe lunar features using a telescope or even regular binoculars.

The skies of Northern Borders Region, characterized by relatively low light pollution, attract astronomy enthusiasts and astrophotographers eager to observe the movements of planets and stars.
