Riyadh: Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The meeting focused on reviewing bilateral relations, exploring aspects of cooperation, and discussing ways to develop them to fulfill the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
According to Saudi Press Agency, following their discussions, Prince Faisal and Sheikh Mohammed co-chaired the Executive Committee meeting of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council. The meeting included a review of the strong fraternal relations between the two countries and explored ways to enhance them at both bilateral and multilateral levels. The officials also discussed cooperation initiatives aimed at elevating relations to broader prospects.
Both sides expressed appreciation for the cooperation and coordination among the committees and working groups established under the coordination council, underscoring the importance of maintaining this progress to serve the mutual interests of both nations and their peoples.
The Executive Committee Secretariat provided an overview of the council's activities and its committees over the past period, including updates and preparatory work for the upcoming eighth meeting of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council. At the meeting's conclusion, the two ministers signed the minutes of the Executive Committee of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council.
