GACA President Visits World Defense Show

Riyadh– President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej visited the pavilions of government agencies and private sector companies participating in the World Defense Show currently being held in the capital city of Riyadh and organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI).

Al-Duailej toured a number of local and international pavilions participating in the Show, listening to a brief explanation of the electronic services, initiatives, programs and platforms provided by authorities affiliated to the defense and security industries.

He reviewed their efforts to enable digital solutions, emerging technologies and information security, and the latest developments in maintenance, industry and training services in the field of aviation and the latest technical solutions in the field of aircraft maintenance, along with the latest equipment and systems that will be presented to hundreds of local and international manufacturers.

GACA President was briefed on the technical, security and informational development process witnessed by the participating parties in the World Defense Show, the electronic services they offer and the latest future technologies for defense, security, safety and technology companies and their efforts to stimulate advanced innovations, and the efforts made in the field of innovative comprehensive defense products and systems in accordance with the highest standards of security and safety.

The World Defense Show is held once every two years with the aim of enabling defense and security institutions to keep pace with defense developments and technical solutions, in line with the objectives set for Vision 2030. This is accomplished by seizing the opportunities available to develop defense and security fields and promoting the process of localizing industries in the sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The World Defense Show is a global platform for operational interoperability across the five domains of the defense industry: land, sea, air, security and aerospace.
