Davos: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi met today in Davos, Switzerland, with Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq Masrour Barzani, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026. During the meeting, the two officials exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues and discussed the latest developments and efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting provided an opportunity for both leaders to engage in dialogue concerning the current geopolitical climate and to explore cooperative strategies that could benefit both the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Kurdistan Regional Government. The discussions are part of ongoing efforts to enhance mutual understanding and collaboration in addressing challenges and seizing opportunities within the region.
