GCC Secretary General Receives Saudi Deputy Minister of Industry

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi has discussed with Saudi Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs Eng. Khalil bin Ibrahim bin Salamah a number of topics related to enhancing cooperation and integration between the GCC countries in the field of industry, the GCC said in a news release.

The discussion took place on Tuesday at Albudaiwi’s reception of Salamah at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.

During the meeting, several topics were discussed, most notably the efforts made by the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee to enhance cooperation and joint integration among the GCC countries in the industrial sector.

The committee’s role in leveraging the benefits of the industrial revolution was highlighted, along with its decisions and recommendations to improve economic diversification, encourage investment, reform business environments, support the private sector, and develop human capital. These initiatives
aim to strengthen the position of the GCC countries as a regional and global financial, investment, and industrial hub.

Albudaiwi also praised the pioneering and distinguished role of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in achieving the desired Gulf integration in the industrial and commercial sectors, emphasising the high level of coordination between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the GCC General Secretariat.
