GCC Secretary General Welcomes Decision of Arab Foreign Ministers on Israeli Aggression against Occupied City of Jerusalem

Riyadh– Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), welcomed today the decision of the Arab foreign ministers on the Israeli aggression against the occupied city of Jerusalem (Al-Quds) and its people, the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, appreciating the Arab and international movement to confront the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian citizens in the occupied city of Jerusalem (Al-Quds) and the worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Dr. Al-Hajraf affirmed that the Israeli hostile practices represent a serious violation of international law and threaten peace, security and stability in the region, calling upon the international community to urge the Israeli authorities to immediately stop this aggression against the Palestinian people.

He affirmed the GCC’s stand by the brotherly Palestinian people, supporting their legitimate rights to establish independent state on all Palestinian territories occupied since June 1967, with East Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and within the framework of the legitimate decisions and international laws.

The GCC Secretary General expressed appreciation for the position of the defenseless Jerusalemites in facing the Israeli aggressors and armed soldiers in defending Al-Aqsa Mosque and their legitimate rights.
