Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Royal Decree (45) of 2024, restructuring the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain (UoB), based on a proposal of the Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Article (1):
The Board of Trustees of the UoB shall be restructured as follows:
1- Minister of Education, Chairman
2- Minister of Industry and Commerce, member
3- Minister of Youth Affairs, member
4- Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), member
5- President of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB), member
6- The Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, member
7- Fatima Al Sayed Redha Ismaeel Ibrahim, member
8- Sonya Mohammed Janahi, member
9- Dr. Khalid Abdullah Taqi, member
10- Dr. Ebrahim Al Sayed Jamal Al Hashemi, member
11- Professor David Palfreyman, member
12- Professor Maia Chankseliani, member
The membership term of the board shall last for four years.
Article II
The Prime Mi
nister and Minister, each in their capacity, shall implement this decree, which will be effective upon its issuance, and be published in the Official Gazette.
