HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with heads and members of labour federations and unions in Bahrain

Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with heads and members of labour federations and unions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Riffa Palace.

The meeting took place in commemoration of the International Worker’s Day, which falls annually on 1 May.

His Royal Highness highlighted the exceptional skillset of Bahraini citizens, adding that their efforts, dedication, creativity, responsibility, and competence continue to yield achievements across various sectors.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted that every Bahraini employee is an integral part of Team Bahrain and contributes to the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended his congratulations to Bahraini employees on the occasion of the International Worker’s Day.

His Royal Highness underscored the importance of federations and labour unions in enhancing cooperation between the government, employers
and employees to support the Kingdom’s vibrant labour market. His Royal Highness also highlighted their role in representing the Kingdom of Bahrain across regional and international forums and promoting national successes and achievements across the labour field.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to upholding the rights and guarantees of Bahraini workers, recognising their role in advancing the nation’s progress and prosperity. In this regard, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted the importance of furthering cooperation and coordination among relevant authorities to bolster the welfare of Bahraini workers.

His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of continuing to enhance the skillsets of the Bahraini workforce by providing training programmes and initiatives that ensure they remain the first choice in the labour market, reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to offering high-quality job prospects for Bahraini citizens.

His Royal Highness concluded by expressing his
pride in the relentless efforts of Bahraini citizens across diverse jobs and sectors and their role in shaping the Kingdom’s present and future development.

For their part the heads and members of labour federations and unions extended their gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, acknowledging His Royal Highness’ dedication to the rights of Bahraini workers and the development of the Kingdom’s vibrant labour market. They further reiterated their commitment to furthering efforts that support the Kingdom’s ongoing progress and development.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and a number of senior officials also attended the meeting.
