Italy’s Reynor Defeats South Korea’s Cure in StarCraft II at Gamers8 Land of Heroes

The Italian gamer Reynor has beaten South Korean Cure 4-1 in the final contest of StarCraft II tournament at Gamers8: The Land of Heroes, the world’s largest gaming and esports festival.

StarCraft II was held as the tenth elite competition tournament within the festival, which is organized by the Saudi Esports Federation.

The final match saw a fierce competition with the Italian losing 1-0 to Cure at first before Reynor made a strong comeback by winning four consecutive confrontations and claiming the first place in rapid succession to win US $150,000 out of a prize pool of US $500,000.

The South Korean gamer won the second place with a prize value of US $65,000.

The Esports Arena in Boulevard Riyadh City hosted the tournament of the world’s most popular real-time strategy game from 3-6 August.

The game saw the participation of 16 professional players from around the world facing off against each other after emerging victorious from the Gamers Without Borders tournament, organized by the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) in April.
