Riyadh: Minister of Justice Dr. Waleed bin Mohammed Al-Samaani inaugurated the International Conference on Judicial Training here today.

The two-day conference has attracted an elite group of specialists and legal experts from around the world; over 600 specialists, 45 speakers, and experts are attending it.

In his opening address, Al-Samaani said that since the launch of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, under the guidance of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and under the leadership of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, ‘unprecedented development progress has been made in all fields’, including the judicial.

The Ministry of Justice has worked hard to improve objectivity and raise the efficiency of the justice system, he said, adding that among the most important tools and means the ministry sought to develop are training, qualification, and management of forensic knowledge in order to achieve the best justice.

According to A
l-Samaani, training and qualification are crucial to achieving justice. The Judicial Training Center seeks to qualify members of the justice and legal system in coordination with partners in all sectors, providing the best training and qualification.

He said that the Kingdom is undergoing a major legislative development, led by HRH the Crown Prince, in a manner that strengthens legal principles, justice and transparency, the objectivity of rulings, and the achievement of justice, through the adoption of innovative methods, like digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence.

The conference, which consists of seven sessions and several workshops, discusses the future of the judiciary and judicial training in light of the digital transformation, means of developing training content in the field, the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence in judicial and judicial training, and methods of effectively measuring the impact of training.
