Astana: President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa at the Presidential Palace in Astana. During the meeting, they discussed topics of mutual interest.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in recognition of his efforts to strengthen friendship between peoples, consolidate interfaith cooperation, and promote religious understanding and peace, Al-Issa was awarded the Order of Friendship by the Republic of Kazakhstan. Al-Issa expressed his gratitude to President Tokayev for the award, viewing it as a tribute to the MWL's global efforts rooted in the values of Islam and its message of coexistence.
