KFSHRC Strengthens Global Ties with Visits from Cleveland Clinic and ImmunityBio Leaders

Riyadh: In a strategic move underscoring its commitment to international collaboration and healthcare innovation, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) welcomed two global healthcare executives. KFSHRC chief executive Dr. Majid AlFayyadh received Cleveland Clinic chief executive Dr. Tomislav Mihaljevic for discussions that explored shared visions in specialized care and international healthcare excellence.

According to Saudi Press Agency, on the same day, Dr. AlFayyadh also welcomed ImmunityBio executive chairman Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong during an official visit that addressed opportunities for collaboration in precision medicine and scientific research. The visit included a tour of KFSHRC's Center of Excellences, highlighting the role of scientific cooperation in accelerating medical breakthroughs and advancing biotechnological innovation.

Dr. AlFayyadh emphasized that these engagements mark a strategic step in strengthening institutional partnerships with global leaders in medicine and research. 'These meetings are part of our broader mission to enhance the patient experience, accelerate the adoption of advanced medical solutions, and reinforce KFSHRC's position as a global reference in healthcare and research excellence,' he stated.

The efforts align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, reaffirming KFSHRC's role in elevating healthcare quality through collaboration with pioneering institutions and international scientific leadership.

KFSHRC was ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and 15th globally in the list of the world's top 250 Academic Medical Centers for 2025 and was recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the Middle East, according to the 2024 Brand Finance rankings. Additionally, it was included in the World's Best Smart Hospitals list for 2025 by Newsweek magazine.
