King Saud University Advances to 90th Position in ShanghaiRanking’s Academic Ranking

King Saud University has achieved a significant global milestone by advancing to the top 100 in the ShanghaiRanking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) for 2024, securing the 90th position.

King Saud University Chairman of the Board of Directors Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan attributes this achievement to the strategic vision of the Kingdom’s leadership in the realms of education, research, development, and innovation, striving for excellence across various academic and research institutions.

Al-Benyan emphasized the ongoing support from the leadership for all initiatives that further the objectives of the education system. He noted that this progress is in line with the ambitions of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to position King Saud University among the top 10 global universities.

Al-Benyan extended congratulations to the academics, employees, and students of King Saud University for their effective contributions and outstanding efforts in attaining this milestone, expressing his hop
e for their continued excellence in academic and research domains.

He stressed that these contributions align with the university’s objectives, mission, and strategic plans, geared towards enhancing the success of the educational and research processes and steering them towards new realms of creativity.

Al-Benyan highlighted that such achievements bolster the university’s developmental impact and showcase its excellence in global indicators and rankings, fulfilling the goals outlined in its basic system.

He underscored that one of these objectives includes striving to elevate the ranking of higher education services in Riyadh and the Kingdom overall in international university ranking reports.
