Zanzibar: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) recently launched the Saudi Noor Volunteer Program to combat blindness and its causes in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The campaign runs from April 29 to May 6, 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, since the campaign began, KSrelief's volunteer medical team has examined 1,731 cases, performed 60 specialized eye surgeries, distributed 198 prescription glasses, and provided medication to 857 patients.
The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's broader humanitarian efforts carried out through KSrelief to support the medical sector and assist low-income patients suffering from eye diseases in allied and friendly nations.
