KSrelief Restores Hope for Mine Victims in Aden

General

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has been a beacon of hope for mine victims in Yemen. Through its Prosthetic Limbs and Rehabilitation Center in Aden, KSrelief has provided essential services to thousands of individuals affected by the devastating conflict.

In the sixth phase of the project, from September 2023 to June 2024, the center provided prosthetic limbs, orthotic devices, and physiotherapy to 2,961 patients. This included the installation of 413 new prosthetic limbs and the maintenance of 450 existing ones.

KSrelief’s efforts extend beyond providing medical care. The center has worked to localize and improve rehabilitation services, empowering local staff and ensuring the highest quality of care.

In addition to its rehabilitation efforts, KSrelief’s Masam Project, dedicated to clearing mines in Yemen, has helped clear 458,477 mines from Yemeni lands, significantly reducing the risk of injuries.

These initiatives reflect Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to human
itarian aid and its dedication to supporting those affected by conflict.
