Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed today, via videoconference, a cooperation agreement with a civil society organization to rehabilitate 10 damaged schools in the Rural Damascus and Homs governorates in the Syrian Arab Republic. The project will directly benefit 3,196 individuals and indirectly benefit 16,875 individuals. The agreement was signed by KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz.
According to Saudi Press Agency, under the agreement, the targeted schools will be rehabilitated and furnished, and solar energy systems will be provided, with the aim of ensuring the resumption of their educational role and providing a suitable and safe environment for students and teachers.
This agreement comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom through KSrelief, aimed at creating a safe and attractive learning environment, improving school infrastructure, and supporting the implementation of high-quality humanitarian projects and programs in Syria.
