Nouakchott: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) conducted a volunteer medical project focused on cardiac surgery and catheterization in Nouakchott, Mauritania. This initiative took place from December 5 to 12, 2025, bringing vital medical services to the region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, KSrelief's volunteer medical team successfully performed 20 open-heart surgeries and 46 cardiac catheterization procedures. In addition, the team conducted 90 ultrasound examinations, demonstrating a significant contribution to the local healthcare efforts.
This initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing relief, humanitarian, and volunteer projects executed through KSrelief. The goal is to provide medical assistance to alleviate the suffering of patients and the injured around the world while fostering a culture of volunteerism among Saudi citizens.
