Livestock and Fisheries Development Program Launches World’s First Veterinary Biotech Park in Riyadh

Riyadh: The National Livestock and Fisheries Development Program (NLFDP) launched today the Biotech Park project, the world's first city dedicated to veterinary biotechnology. Located in Dhurma Governorate, Riyadh Region, the project aims to serve as a national hub supporting all regions of the Kingdom, while also providing a platform that extends its services to the GCC, the Middle East, Africa, and eventually global markets.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Biotech Park project will feature a state-of-the-art laboratory and is designed to attract leading international companies specializing in the development and localization of vaccines and veterinary products, as well as serving as a base for the regional headquarters of global firms.

This initiative will enhance the efficiency of the livestock and animal health system, improve productivity, reduce economic losses, and strengthen supply chains by facilitating the production of high-quality national products and the adoption of advanced diagnostic solutions.
