Madinah National Park Provides Prominent Natural Destination Enhancing Winter Leisure Options in Madinah

Madinah: Madinah National Park stands out as a distinctive natural haven and a prominent destination for residents and visitors of Madinah, offering an open environment and vast spaces that attract visitors throughout the winter season. The park harmoniously blends nature with activities and services suited to all age groups.

According to Saudi Press Agency, located in the northern part of Madinah on the Madinah-Tabuk Road, adjacent to the Saudi Grains Organization, the park lies around 17 kilometres from the city centre. It spans 2,698 dunums, consisting of a southern section of 1,500 dunums and a northern section of 1,198 dunums.

The southern part of the park has undergone multiple development projects that have enhanced its readiness to welcome visitors. These include fencing the site, constructing an administration building for visitor services, and establishing restroom facilities. Additional works included land levelling and preparation, installing 152 seating areas, and connecting the site to the electricity grid.

Around 100,000 seedlings have been planted across the area, accompanied by the installation of an integrated irrigation network. Nurseries with a production capacity of up to 800,000 seedlings have been established, along with the asphalting of main internal roads, the construction of irrigation tanks, and the extension of a 2,500-meter pipeline to transport treated wastewater.

Madinah National Park continues to attract visitors during the winter season, offering a vibrant natural setting and spaces suitable for family gatherings and events. The park provides an innovative seasonal experience that enhances resident satisfaction and expands available recreational options, aligning with the objectives of the Quality of Life Program.
