Makkah: Makkah Region Deputy Governor Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz inaugurated a recorded Quran (Mushaf) featuring recitations of contestants at the 45th session of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh attended the launch, which took place during the competition's closing ceremony on Wednesday. The Makkah Region's deputy governor attended the ceremony on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

This initiative marks a first in the 48-year history of the competition. The project was carried out by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance under the supervision and follow-up of the minister, and in cooperation with the Saudi Broadcasting Authority, represented by the Saudi Center for Quranic Recitations and Prophetic Hadith.

The recited Mushaf was produced in seven days, using three specialized recording units set up at the competition venue in Makkah. It is now ready for broadcast across Arab and Islamic radio stations, television channels, and digital platforms.
