Ankara, The Ministry of Interior continues implementing the Makkah Route Initiative as part of the Pilgrim Experience Program, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs. It provides services to pilgrims from the Republic of Trkiye through Ankara Esenboga International Airport. The supervisor of the Makkah Route Initiative at Ankara Esenboga International Airport, Captain Reda Al-Salmi, stated that the initiative completed the procedures today for pilgrims departing from Esenboga International Airport and heading to Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. He indicated that the initiative's lounge provides the latest technologies to serve pilgrims easily and conveniently. Continuing the implementation of the Makkah Route Initiative is part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to facilitate for pilgrims. This reflects the commitment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Pri nce to serve pilgrims. The Makkah Route Initiative aims to streamline the procedures for pilgrims from their countries. This includes issuing electronic Hajj visas, collecting biometric data, and completing passport procedures in the initiative's lounge at the departure airport after verifying health requirements. Additionally, it involves tagging and sorting luggage according to transport and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom. Upon arrival, pilgrims are directly transported by dedicated buses to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah, while partner agencies deliver their luggage to their residences.
