Malaysian King Bids Farewell to Pilgrims Benefiting from Makkah Route Initiative

Kuala Lumpur, King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim and Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia Musaed Al-Saleem today bid farewell to a group of pilgrims in Kuala Lumpur before they set off for the Kingdom to perform this year’s Hajj under the Makkah Route Initiative.

The Malaysian king was briefed by Al-Saleem on the initiative and how it speeds up the travel procedures for pilgrims.

The king expressed his appreciation to Saudi Arabia for the distinguished services it provides to the pilgrims.

The Ministry of Interior launched the Makkah Route Initiative in 2017, in cooperation with the ministries of foreign affairs, health, Hajj and Umrah, and media, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data and AI Authority, and the ?Pilgrim Experience Program, to enhance the Hajj journey.
