Paris: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef met with French Ministerial Delegate for Strategic Metals and Minerals Supply Benjamin Gallezot to discuss the development of cooperation in the mining and minerals sector between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the two officials highlighted the robust economic relations between Saudi Arabia and France, underscoring the significance of expanding cooperation in the mining sector and capitalizing on mutual opportunities in critical minerals. The meeting underscored the key role of international partnerships in promoting the sustainability of the global mining industry.



The dialogue also covered opportunities for exchanging expertise and transferring mining technology between the two nations, reinforcing their commitment to strengthening supply chain resilience and supporting sustainable growth in the mining and critical minerals sectors. These discussions align with the Saudi Cabinet’s recent approval of a declaration of intent between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the French Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industry, aimed at enhancing cooperation in critical minerals.
