Jeddah: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held two meetings with leaders of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and officials from Technical Developments Solutions (TDS) to discuss enhancing cooperation in the mining sector and exploring joint opportunities to advance research, innovation, and the use of advanced technologies. The meetings took place on the sidelines of the first edition of the GEOMIN 2025 Symposium in Jeddah.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during his meeting with SEG leaders, Alkhorayef discussed opportunities to strengthen collaboration in mining exploration research and exchange expertise on global best practices in geophysical survey applications. The meeting also addressed the development of human resource training programs in geological surveying and plans for the GEOMIN Symposium.

The meetings were attended by CEO of SGS Eng. Abdullah Al-Shamrani, along with several leaders from the Kingdom’s mining ecosystem. The GEOMIN 2025 Symposium commenced in Jeddah today, featuring a distinguished group of global geological experts and researchers. The event serves as an international platform for dialogue on the future of mineral exploration and the latest advancements in research, innovation, and technology.
