Makkah: The Ministry of Interior announced that individuals who shelter or attempt to shelter holders of any type of visit visa in any form of residential accommodation-whether hotels, apartments, private residences, or pilgrim housing facilities-will face financial penalties of up to SAR100,000. This applies to those harboring or assisting such individuals to remain in Makkah and the holy sites from Dhu Al-Qi'dah 1 to Dhu Al-Hijjah 14. Penalties will increase proportionally based on the number of people sheltered or assisted.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry urges everyone to comply with Hajj regulations and instructions, which are intended to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims and help them perform their rituals with ease. It also encourages the public to report any violations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, or 999 in the rest of the Kingdom.
