General

Riyadh, The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, through the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj and Umrah, has launched call and guidance programs to educate pilgrims during this year’s Hajj season in 1445 AH.

The ministry’s programs, guided by the Kingdom’s mission to promote moderation, are designed to provide call and awareness services. These services are available through Al-Mawaqit and Al-Hal mosques, Islamic awareness centres, field cabins in Makkah and the Holy Sites, and praying areas in the central region next to the Grand Mosque. This initiative, led by a distinguished group of preachers, scholars, students, and translators proficient in international languages, is a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to guiding the pilgrims with precision and accuracy.

The call efforts include assigning an elite group of preachers to respond to pilgrims’ questions and inquiries about the rituals of Hajj and Umrah through awareness booths. Additionally, sermon speeches, lessons, and
daily lectures are delivered.

The ministry has devoted its call efforts to educating the pilgrims through an electronic library keeping pace with modern technology, which includes thousands of religious books. They also operate a free number (8002451000) for automated responses and answer questions around the clock to disseminate the correct information about the rituals of Hajj and Umrah according to the Qur’an and Sunnah in ten international languages. Moreover, they have installed several electronic screens in the mosques across Makkah’s holy sites to broadcast awareness messages in multiple global languages. They are operating iPads to provide “Fatwa” service to respond to questions via video broadcast. The ministry is also broadcasting awareness text messages (SMS) to the mobile phones of pilgrims and is sharing the call program through the ministry’s social media platforms. This program will be held at the Al-Khayf Mosque in Mina and presented by eminent scholars and preachers.
