Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Mali’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Worship Sign Executive Program to Implement MoU

Jeddah– Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh and Mali’s Minister of Religious Affairs and Worship Mamadou Kone today signed an executive program to implement the MoU previously signed between the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance and Mali’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Worship.

The signing ceremony was held at Dr. Al Al-Sheikh’s office in Jeddah in the presence of several officials from both sides and media outlets.

The two sides agreed to activate the items of the MoU citing holding religious training courses for beginners and imams in Mali, providing Mali with copies of the Holy Quran and interpretations of its meanings and other publications of print materials and religious books, organizing symposiums on the concepts of moderation and discarding radicalization and extremisms, exchanging invitations for attending Islamic symposiums and conferences and awards for the memorization of the Holy Quran to be held in the two countries, and cooperating in the electronic field to clarify the concepts of true Islam.

The program also included holding a meeting at King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Al-Madinah Al- Munawarah to benefit from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s experience in printing the Holy Quran and interpreting its meanings, and arranging a visit by an imam of the two holy mosques to Mali.

Signing the executive program of the MoU is in harmony of the distinguished and solid Saudi-Malian relations, and the keenness of the Saudi Arabian wise leadership to the good of Muslims and service of Islam, spreading principles of moderation and discarding extremisms and combating extremist groups.
