Jeddah: The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Jeddah Municipality, announced the full readiness of its municipal ecosystem to serve pilgrims during the 1447 AH Hajj season. The preparations aim to enhance municipal services, improve readiness at vital sites, and maintain roads leading to Makkah to facilitate pilgrims’ journeys.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry stated that preparations included intensified municipal and inspection efforts, increased operational readiness in high-density areas, and the preparation of the Yalamlam and Al-Juhfah miqats within Al-Laith and Rabigh governorates.
More than 6,000 personnel, over 700 vehicles and machines, and around-the-clock emergency teams have been deployed to support field operations and ensure rapid response and uninterrupted services.
Inspection campaigns covered food, commercial, and health establishments, achieving high compliance levels in over 2,850 facilities. Digital services through the ‘Balady’ app and hotline 940 are also fully operational to handle reports 24/7.
