Muslim World League Commends Saudi Arabia’s and Norway’s Efforts toward Palestinian Statehood

Makkah: The Muslim World League (MWL) lauded the Ministerial Meeting held in Brussels, Belgium, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Norway’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide in collaboration with the EU, which aims to strengthen efforts to implement the two-state solution in the occupied Palestinian territories.

MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa praised the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts, alongside those of international partners, to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and secure their legitimate rights and independent state.

He emphasized that the meeting focused on taking practical steps toward establishing a Palestinian state based on the two-state solution, and to initiate a political process that leads to a fair, lasting, and comprehensive solution that fulfills the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and promotes security and stability in the region and g
lobally.

Al-Issa said the meeting supports international efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire, end the conflict in Gaza, and address violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, including taking control of the Rafah crossing and providing sufficient and secure relief aid to prevent the worsening of this humanitarian crisis.
