Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation government's plan to fully reoccupy the Gaza Strip. In a statement by the MWL General Secretariat, its Secretary-General and Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Issa denounced this dangerous decision, which undermines all chances of ending the war and achieving peace. He described it as an extension of the occupation government's ongoing policies that disregard the lives and dignity of the Palestinian people. He also condemned its continued violation of human values, as well as international laws and norms in the occupied Palestinian territories. According to Saudi Press Agency, the secretary-general warned of the disastrous repercussions of this decision, given the siege, starvation, and displacement to which the residents of the Gaza Strip are being subjected. He reiterated the MWL's urgent call on the international community to assume its moral and legal responsibilities by taking a serious a nd sincere stand to stop the war led by the occupation government and to end one of the most severe humanitarian tragedies of our time.
