National Water Company Announces Success of Operational and Technical Plan in Ramadan Season in Makkah and Madinah

Riyadh: The National Water Company (NWC) announced the success of its operational and technical plan to provide and manage water supplies for the Ramadan season of the year 1445 AH in Makkah and Madinah, where it distributed 40.2 million cubic metres, including 22 million cubic metres in Makkah and 18.2 million cubic metres in Madinah.

The operational plan aimed to maintain the level and quality of services provided to residents, visitors and guests of God, said the company.

NWC noted that early planning for Ramadan included an operational and technical plan to provide a capacity of 5.7 million cubic metres, in which 3 million cubic metres were designated for Makkah while 2.7 million cubic metres were for Madinah, in addition to equipping the workforce and operation and maintenance teams with modern equipment and mechanisms to carry out fieldwork according to highest standards.

Regular checks on water quality were applied through the withdrawal of samples for analysis in laboratories in Makkah and Madinah.

The company said more than 46,000 laboratory tests for water were conducted, of which 30,000 were in Makkah and 16,500 were in Madinah.
